Borax Pentahydrate used at the correct equivalent rate gives solution or melts identical in composition with those of Borax Decahydrate; it may therefore be substituted at a saving in all applications where borax is used; Among present applications of Borax Pentahydrate are wire drawing baths, corrosion inhibitor solutions, starches, adhesives and the manufacture of other boron compounds.
Ceramics (Glazes and Colours), Chemical Manufacturing (Boron, Fluorides, Fluoborotes, Borides, Boron alloys, Boron Carbide, Ferro-Boron), Citrus Fruit Wash (Cosmetics, Dye Stabiliser, Elctroplating (nickel), Enamels, Fluxes; welding and brazing. Leather finishing compounds deliming hides, Paints latex base, Pharmaceuticals, Textile finishing compounds.
As an analytical reagent for chemical and pharmaceutical analysis.
Cosmetics, Soaps & Detergents, Pharmaceutical Products.
For various purposes where the highest purity of Boric Acid is essential. It finds application in the manufacture of electrolytic capacitor, catalyst, as a reagent grade chemical and in the manufacture of high purity boron compounds.
Used as a slow release boron, Boronated SSP and micronutrient.
D.O.T. is a concentrated soluble Micronutrient Fertiliser for use in agricultural crops. It is mainly used as a spray to the soil or to the foliage, but it is also widely used in liquid fertilisers and in nutrients feeds. DOT dissolves quickly and is easy to handle. It is readily absorbed through the foliage or by the roots and it provides a rapid, convenient and efficient method of correcting boron deficiency in crops. Crops in which DOT is regularly used include: Field crops: sugar beet, sunflowers, oilseed rape, maize, cotton, Lucerne Tree crops: apples, vines, olives, coffee. Vegetables: carrots, celery, cauliflower, red beet.
Replaces Borax where an alkali borate is needed but Sodium Salt cannot be used. As a source of more soluble form of Boron since it is more soluble when compared with the corresponding sodium salt at ordinary temperature. As a constituent of special welding fluxes. As a component of diazotype developer solutions. As a lubricating oil additives. As a buffering agent since its water solution has relatively a constant pH.
Zinc Borate BML ZB 223 is a highly effective flame retardant and smoke suppressant in p1asticized PVC applications. It is also used as flame retardant in rubber conveyor.
Zinc Borate is a versatile flame retardant and smoke suppressant and can be used as a partial replacement for Antimony Trioxide in a variety of halogenated flame retardant polymer systems. These products are not only effective flame retardant synergies but they also reduce smoke generation which can sometimes be a problem when Antimony Oxide is alone used.
